How to treat the most effective wastewater from automobile painting

At present, a variety of technologies should be used for the comprehensive treatment of coating wastewater or for further treatment of a certain component. The scope of research and engineering practice involves physical, chemical and biological methods and other treatment methods.

Physical and chemical treatment methods

Physicochemical method generally adopts two-stage coagulation sedimentation. By adding coagulant in the wastewater, pollutants can form large particle aggregates, which can be removed through sedimentation and filtration. Physicochemical method has simple principle, low investment and small land occupation, and can be generally used in sewage treatment projects with low discharge requirements. However, it is difficult to achieve higher water quality requirements by physical and chemical treatment alone.

Biological treatment method

The biological treatment method is to use microorganisms to degrade organic matters in water. The advantages of this method are low operation cost, high removal rate of organic matter and less energy consumption in the treatment process. However, microorganisms have high requirements for environmental conditions, and the operation cycle of treatment is long. A large amount of coating wastewater is produced in the coating workshop of Jiangling Group, which contains emulsified oil, surfactant, water-soluble resin, pigment, paint and other toxic substances.

Physicochemical and biochemical treatment methods:

Because the automobile coating wastewater has the characteristics of complex composition, large fluctuation of water volume and irregular discharge, when using a single physicochemical method or biological method to treat wastewater, the effluent is unstable and meets the standard, and the treatment cost is high. With the gradual improvement of wastewater discharge standards, physico-chemical and biochemical methods will replace the single treatment method and become the main method of automobile painting wastewater treatment in the future.
